Our Mission

As proud progeny of African immigrants, Sabrina and Idris wish to consciously leave a positive imprint that will generate significant changes for future generations. This dedication and shared cultural lineage impact Elba Hope Foundation’s daily work and the initiatives to which we devote our time. With a solutions-oriented approach, our goal is to remain adaptable to the evolving needs of the African and African Diaspora communities we seek to serve.

Our work centers on community empowerment, education, and sustainable development. At the heart of our mission lies a steadfast commitment to sustainable progress and better futures for Africans and the African Diaspora through the interconnected tools of agriculture, conservation, and youth advocacy.

In collaboration with institutions and youth advocacy organizations in the United States, United Kingdom, and across Africa we strive to advance educational and economic opportunities for young people in underserved and marginalized communities.

Our programs in West Africa focus on uplifting local communities, particularly smallholder farmers and farming collectives, to improve their livelihoods. Simultaneously, we aim to partner with African and Diaspora communities to facilitate self-driven progress in African rural livelihoods, with overarching goals that include the protection of Africa's natural environment and sustainability.

Around the world

Goodwill Ambassador Work

One in seven of the world's population live in poverty in urban areas, and the vast majority of these live in the Global South – mostly in overcrowded informal settlements with inadequate water, sanitation, health care and schools provision.

This knowledge is why Sabrina and I became Goodwill Ambassadors for agencies like Conservation International & IFAD with the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD), a specialized agency of the United Nations, who have done incredible work investing in the millions of rural people in developing countries to address poverty and hunger.
